The University of South Africa (Unisa), the largest university in South Africa, has recently commenced its registration period for semester 2 qualifications, providing opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. Important Dates for Semester 2 Registration

The registration period commenced on Monday, 3 July 2023. Students are encouraged to act promptly as the registration period will soon come to a close at Unisa.

Registration closing dates are as follows:

  • For Undergraduate qualifications, honours degrees, and postgraduate diplomas: 28 July 2023.
  • For MBA and MBL qualifications: 28 July 2023.
  • Short Learning Programmes registration closed on 14 July 2023.

Eligibility for Registration

Registration is open to new applicants who have submitted a Unisa application and current Unisa students who have applied for admission to a new qualification. However, applicants can only register after receiving a placement offer from Unisa, which they have accepted online.

The registration process at Unisa involves the following steps:

  1. Visit the Unisa web registration page.
  2. Select your desired qualification level and click “Go.”
  3. Fill in all the required information, including your student number (if applicable).
  4. Verify and update your personal details for effective communication from Unisa.

  6. Enter the correct module codes and select the appropriate semester (Semester 2).
  7. Adhere to the prescribed number of modules per semester or year to avoid processing delays.
  8. Calculate your Unisa fee quotation using the fee calculation tool on the Unisa website.
  9. Pay the Unisa Minimum Fees.
  10. Submit your registration.
